CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Office for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, regarding their different courses.
False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are available at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a three-year period.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Prerequisites
These programs begin at NCV level two and also the least need would then be Grade nine certificate with a pass in Mathematics.
At the time the student finishes NCVLevel two, they would then have attained a grade ten certificate. NCV Level three would be grade eleven and NCV website Level 4 is grade twelve.
NCV Level four is at the exit level, being equivalent to a National Senior Certificate (NSC).
Grade nine is on NQF level 1. Our NCV programmes start NCV stage two that's equivalent to an NQF level two.
On which type of scholars are suited for these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that traditional schooling is not really automatically the only real strategy for turning into an artisan or turning out to be competent therefore if a student knows from an early age what their interests are, the NCV programme is really completely fitted to that student.
